A circular model that reduces waste and gives families access to quality clothing at a fraction of the purchase price
Young children go through seven clothing sizes in their first two years of life. Starting from this observation, Seasons proposes an alternative to the accelerated buying cycle: a rental subscription through which families can dress their little ones in quality clothes, without buying something that will be too small before it has a chance to wear out.
The first service of its kind in Romania, Seasons works simply: subscribers choose 5 items from the catalogue, receive them at home, use them for a season, then return them when the little one has grown or when the weather has changed. We take them back, clean them professionally and send them on to the next family.
How it works
The Seasons subscription costs 120 RON per month and includes:
- 5 items of your choice from the catalogue, available in sizes from 0 to 3 years
- Delivery throughout Romania
- Professional ecological cleaning between each rental cycle with The Laundry Room
- Coverage for stains and normal wear no additional costs
When the clothes become too small or the season changes, the subscriber returns them and chooses a new selection. No storage, no selling, no hassle.
Brands in the catalogue
The Seasons collection includes pieces from premium European children’s clothing brands such as Petit Pli, Studio Koter, Bobo Choses and Mini Rodini, alongside a selection of pre-loved pieces and a capsule collaboration with local businesses. All items are chosen for the quality of their materials, impeccable design and because they withstand multiple cycles of use.
The story behind the service
Seasons was founded by Ioana Diaconu, after she herself went through the experience of being a new mother and through the online shopping sessions at two in the morning, through the piles of clothes that were too small after a few weeks, through the dilemma of buying something expensive and well-made that would be worn for two months.
“I realised that it makes no sense to invest individually in quality clothes for a baby. They grow too fast. But it makes sense for there to be a shared wardrobe clothes you invest in long-term, that you choose carefully and take care of. Because little ones wear them so briefly, it makes much more sense to rent them for a limited period and return them. Other families enjoy them without any hassle. We curate the collection, handle the cleaning and the logistics,” says Ioana Diaconu, founder of Seasons.
The service participated in ClimAccelerator Romania in 2025, an acceleration programme for startups that through innovation and technology can create a greener future.
