“Matisse – The Immersive Show” premieres nationally, alongside “Dinosaurs,” “Ancient Egypt,” and “Cosmos” shows
Iași, August 28, 2025 – MINA – Museum of Immersive New Art, the first immersive art museum in Romania, opens its doors in Iași on September 26, in a permanent space located on Bulevardul Primăverii no. 2, in the extended center of Iași, near Podu Ros. After Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, Iași becomes the third city in Romania to host a museum dedicated to immersive experiences, strengthening its position as a cultural landmark in the Moldova region.
The Romanian public will be able to discover for the first time at MINA Iași, presented by ING Bank Romania, the show Matisse: The Immersive Show – “La Blouse Roumaine a tribute to the Romanian blouse and 100 other works by Henri Matisse”, an original production created by MINA Creative Studio. Built in 7 artistic acts, the show invites the public to explore the visual universe of one of the central figures of modern art. Through large-scale projections, sound, and animation, some of Matisse’s most famous works, such as The Red Studio, La Danse, or The Snail, will come to life.

Alongside the show dedicated to Henri Matisse, the program of the immersive space MINA Iași will be structured in two distinct intervals, each bringing to the forefront emblematic productions from the MINA portfolio:
Interval 1
- Matisse – The Immersive Show
- Ancient Egypt – Under the Gaze of the Gods: a visual and sound journey through one of the world’s most mysterious civilizations. The pyramids, pharaohs, and Egyptian myths are reinterpreted in a production where digital art and storytelling blend in a monumental atmosphere. The show is narrated by Amalia Enache and brings the past closer than ever through large-scale projections and an original soundtrack.
Interval 2
- Dinosaurs – An immersive journey into the prehistoric world: Over 30 species come to life through 360° projections, from T-Rex and Triceratops to marine reptiles and flying dinosaurs. The show, structured in four chapters – The Awakening, The Explosion of Life, The Depths of the Waters, The Prehistoric Kingdom – combines the excitement of discovery with educational information, being a captivating experience for all ages. The show has already crossed Romania’s borders, being the first production in the portfolio licensed internationally.
- Cosmos – Discover the mysteries of the universe: a production presented by Kaufland Romania. The audience will embark on a fascinating exploration of the Solar System and the universe, discovering planets, the sounds produced by black holes, defining moments in the history of space exploration, as well as other fascinating elements of the cosmos. The show also includes video fragments from the documentary “Eight Days in Space”, which captures the mission of Dumitru Prunariu, the only Romanian astronaut who has reached space.

MINA Kids completes the experience with an interactive play space, where children explore through movement and technology 15 digital installations. Created together with a team of artists and programmers from Romania, the Czech Republic, and Bulgaria, internationally awarded for new media projects, the space offers a fun and educational experience, designed for families with children aged 3 to 12.
“We are delighted to bring to Iași a space where art, technology, and imagination meet. Immersive experiences have the power to move, to awaken curiosity, and to bring people closer to art in a different, more direct, and memorable way. When we came with MINA Pop-Up to Iași, we were welcomed with enthusiasm, and this confirmed the public’s desire to have constant access to such experiences. That is why we are now returning with a permanent location, which will become a meeting place open to everyone, regardless of age,” says the MINA team.

“MINA Iași is a project that caught our attention from the very beginning, and we feel that we already have many things in common. Technology and innovation are also part of ING’s DNA, and the fact that we can support an initiative that combines art, imagination, and curiosity was a great reason for enthusiasm. In addition, we are happy to be even closer to our clients in Iași, in an important region of the country for us,” says Dana Ștefan, Events and Sponsoring Lead, ING Bank Romania.
